Wang Huaiqing Solo Exhibition May 1 Through June 30, 2010 At The Suzhou Museum In Jiangsu China


"To The Forgotten Garden" a solo exhibition by Chinese contemporary artist Wang Huaiqing, will be held at the Suzhou Museum in Jiangsu China May 1 through June 30, 2010.  The exhibition will feature some of Huaiqing's greatest works ever to be included at the Contemporary Art Galleries at the Suzhou Museum.  Wang Huaiqing was born in Beijing in 1944 and entered the Central Academy of Fine Arts Preparatory School at the age of eleven.  From 1964 to 1966 he was a student of internationally acclaimed painter Wu Guanzhong and went on to earn his Masters degree in 1981.  In 1987, at the invitation of Robert Hefner,  Huaiqing came to the United States where he remained for a year as a visiting professor at Oklahoma City University.  Wang Huaiqing has more than a dozen publications produced on his work and has been celebrated  by the world over as one of the most prolific Chinese contemporary artists of the post-revolutionary era.
